Our Programs & Classes
We offer month to month (one of the only schools to offer this), 3-month, 6-month, 1-year, and 1-1/2 year programs. Family discounts on both tuition and belt tesing fees. No contracts if not desired.
Students and enthusiasts of American Tae kwon do have many reasons for their interest in this and other martial art styles. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and self-defense.
Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, Metro Karate Academy (952-937-0020) offers a number of programs that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well.

Budo Taijutsu
Budo taijutsu incorporates nine different fighting traditions (ryu). This is a combat art and we teach real-life self-defense. Back in the 1980s Budo Taijutsu was known simply as Ninjutsu, or the art of the Ninja. This was because it contains three ryus that are Ninja schools. Components of our system are studied by special forces such as Navy SEALS, Britain's SAS and Israeli special forces.
There are no limitations on the techniques we study. They include: Punching, kicking, throwing, joint locks, chokes, nerve points, rolling, leaping, and just about any conceivable weapon, particularly sticks, swords/knives, halberds/spears, chains/ropes. We also study how to use everyday items such as keys, credit cards, flashlights, etc., as weapons. Bottom line: Survival.
Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 to 9:30 PM at the Chanhassen Metro Karate Academy location. For additional information, please visit the program's website at Tonbo Budo Taijutsu.
